SculpSure is NOT the same as cool sculpting.
I know it’s confusing; both treatments aim to permanently rid you of fat cells in those “stubborn” areas we ALL have. Think of this treatment more as liposuction without the anesthesia or …the liposuction.
It’s not a substitute for a solid weight loss plan or for people that are considerably overweight but instead for people who are “reasonably” active (or perhaps “VERY” active, if you know anyone like that).
The treatment itself is super easy. It’s not painful. There is no downtime.
You are measured and the doctor “maps out” the areas that will be covered by the grid for the SculpSure apparatus to be attached to- each attachment is a separate laser “head”, if you will. The laser light doesn’t cut into you though or cause an effect on the skin or superficial areas.
We decided to use it on my belly. While not considered overweight or large in this area, my waist IS definitely larger than previous years, which has come without the enjoyment of copious amounts of food or drink. And certainly we all know it isn’t because I don’t work out or do Ab exercises.
In fact, I think that makes it even MORE frustrating. (Blame hormones and changes that happen to most everyone 35 and older!!!)
And unlike Cool Sculpting, SculpSure is warm! (Big yay!)
Of course I checked out the evidence on the technique!
In fact of the 3 studies I read (Bass LS et al 2018, Katz B et al 2018, and Schilling L et al 2017) each reported on its safety (that’s important) and effectiveness (also key) particularly for fat reduction of the belly area!
