(EXCERPT FROM 4/11/18 NEWSLETTER)
Hello beauties!
Videos! Yes, I’m trying to videotape more of my choreography and get it up online.
(Spinners – there will be more exercise/fitness ones too, not just Zumba.)
I’m asked near-daily “How can I find these?” especially for people who aren’t on Facebook (the whole reason this email listserve was created, actually).
You’re HERE already on the website. Click over to the “VIDEO” page. Open one of the videos and watch on YouTube. From there, you will be able to access all the other videos that have been uploaded.
OR…if you are subscribed to the email listserve, there is a YouTube button at the bottom! #boom

The addition of the Zumba Toning class has been a success – Even the guys like it. It is a class for muscular endurance -not for muscle building or strength! Think “high reps and low weight” with the music (and some of the routines) you like! Come try it and I’ll keep you posted on any schedule changes.
The “Shaker” weights are specifically designed to give your muscles more of a challenge and can be found on the Zumba.com website or Amazon.

April comes from the word “aprillis” which means “to open” and is very fitting to spring, right? As women (mostly the demographic reading this…), we have this duality of either being private or open.
I struggle with it.
Sometimes we feel the most OPEN or free when we’re at class or exercising. To that end, I’m hoping more of you will share your “stories” because I know a lot of you have gone through, or are still going through, a lot of STUFF. And opening up could potentially help you and another person – or 30. And if you’re dealing with a chronic disease or any serious medical issue (including mental), I especially would love to hear from you and know what’s worked for you, & what hasn’t.
KEEP COMING TO CLASS(ES)!!
Researchers reported that people who attend group exercise classes (a minimum of once a week!) improved their quality of life! They improved their mental, physical and emotional health and had a significant (over 26%) reduction in stress levels, when compared to people who worked out individually (and even longer/harder). – Yorks et al, 2017
