Did you read my last “skin” post? You can find it HERE if not.

As I said there:

“…skin is DEFINITELY a “cross” I bare. Bad skin, that is.”

Let me show you some things that have helped me. Some of my “Holy Grail” items, if you will.

I posted this ^ picture on Instagram “stories” recently (which means it disappeared after 24hrs since it was an IG Story).

I love using LaRoche Posay’s Effaclar cleansers and alternating with Mario Badescu’s foaming glycolic one or Philosophy’s Purity.

I use these little daily scrubbies sponges that I pick up at CVS that are reminiscent of the BuffPuff sponges- but way smaller and thinner. Otherwise I use a Clarisonic Mia in the shower. (Yep, I know there is good/bad press about using such exfoliating methods but…it works for me.)

Twice a day (unless I’m using the IS Clinical) I use Biologique Recherché P50 (the original one) toner. Using this was a game-changer. I was not a “toner” person and resisted using this for YEARS because the price & exclusivity threw me off. That was dumb; a bottle lasts a good 6 months and I guarantee you mostly likely spend WAY more within that period of time on products that don’t work. Or at least I did!

Last but not least is the curology cream that is a topical Rx (including retinol) that is made just for me. It’s a bi-monthly prescription service.

I use mostly natural lip products with beeswax and coconut oil but this Agave Lip Mask overnight is FANTASTIC. If you are familiar with Neutrogena’s Swiss Hand Formula, it’s that effective and intense- But for your lips!

Here are my DAYtime go-to’s in order of application:

I use the Adult Acnomel (which is like tinted Clearasil) first after cleansing and using the P50.

The NYX cosmetics eyelid primer is something the beauty manager at my local CVS turned me on to. I mostly use eyeshadow as both a liner and a bit of shadow so this is fantastic because I need something that sets in the a.m. and lasts until 8 or sometimes 10p.m.

Next is the Tom Ford eye shadows. I use his brown colors and like everything and anything he makes (clothes, makeup, movies...) it’s pretty great.

Next comes the Clinique Beyond Perfecting foundation is oil-free, non-comedogenic, and has a bit of a sunscreen. This goes on as my concealer underneath my (raccoon) eyes as I would breakout using regular concealers.

Last is the eyelash curler by Tweezerman (also a CVS “find“).

So, basically my strategy is to cleanse then cover the imperfections, use something for the eyes and run out the door…

However! I received this in a swag bag and recently started using a bit of this for under the eyes (instead of the Clinique), and I will purchase this. With fingers crossed that the real deal is just as good as the sample is/was.

When I want to get really fancy, NO eyeliner can revel Marc Jacobs’ line!

Relatively new in the makeup arena, his line is just as fantastic as his fashion. No drugstore, Sephora or high-end eyeliner has come close to the ease, wearability, lasting factor, and gentleness on my super sensitive, blepharitis-prone peepers.

Last but not least…sadly, this is not a keeper. When I posted a few months ago for suggestions on eyelash serums, this is what I chose. It hasn’t really done anything for my sparse hairs. I had used this many years ago, but I believe the formula has been changed since then.

What are the Skincare/Products/Makeup/or Treatments YOU spend money on – or WANT to spend money on?

Any Questions??
